2026/27 Town of Mayerthorpe Council RCMP Policing Priorities Survey
The Town of Mayerthorpe is seeking input from residents to guide the Mayerthorpe RCMP Detachment on their annual Community Priorities Plan (CPP). Tell us your top priorities for policing for 2026-2027. To share your thoughts please complete the survey before April 20, 2026. And return it to the Town Office.
Please select three (3) policing priorities from the following list that you feel should be top policing priorities for Mayerthorpe RCMP in 2026-2027, in addition to responding to calls for services.
Traffic Safety- includes impaired driving, speeding, and distracted driving
Crime Reduction-Property Crime and Theft Includes cyber security breaches, vehicle theft, theft from a vehicle, break and enter, vandalism, mischief, possession of stolen property, and property damage.
Crime Reduction-Person's Crime Includes assault, domestic violence, identity theft, uttering threats, robbery, homicide, fraud, human trafficking, kidnapping, firearms/weapons, etc.
Reduce Drug Offences-includes possession of controlled substances, drug trafficking, production of drugs, and drug-impaired driving.
Police Community Relations & Visibility Includes positive police and community engagement and collaboration with community partners, and community patrols. Youth/school engagement, Community policing (events, presentations, engagement)
Crime Prevention Includes public education, school presentations, and prevention programs such as AGENT, RISK, RAVE, and CPTED as well as improving coordination between agencies, strengthening referral pathways to support services, and increasing awareness of available programs and community patrols.
