Geographers for Justice in Palestine is a group of geographers, faculty, students, and researchers organizing in response to institutional complicity with the Israeli state’s colonial, discriminatory and oppressive policies towards Palestinians.
Currently our organizing is centrally oriented around winning academic boycott at the American Association of Geographers by 2027 through a member-based democratic process. This goal goes hand in hand with fixing the AAG's democratic deficit, academic solidarity, and relationship building with Palestinian geographers, and the larger ideological struggle against geography's complicity with US-Israeli imperial genocide and war.

A note on data security: At GJP, names and emails collected via forms, event registrations, etc. are managed and accessed by a small group of trusted comrades who serve as our data stewards. We also regularly archive sign-up forms offline and delete online versions. We recognize that people are navigating different levels of risk and we respect whatever decision you make regarding your ability to fill out a form like this. That said, in order to keep our organizing spaces safe, we do need to be able to figure out who you are and confirm you are affiliated with the discipline of geography (broadly conceived!) in order to follow-up with you about getting involved.
