This event is organized by the American Public Works Association New York Chapter Western Branch and the New York Water Environment Association Western Chapter to celebrate National Public Works Week. Proceeds from the Beaver Island Breakout are used for a scholarship fund. To date we have awarded over $40,000 for scholarships to students enrolled in Erie Community College's engineering curriculums and to APWA members' children.
Beaver Island Breakout is a day for public works personnel to

- Watch skilled operators compete in the Equipment Roadeo
SCHEDULE
8:30 - 9 AM: Check-in and Coffee
8:30 AM - 2 PM: Equipment, Products and Services Show
9 - 10 AM: Safety Class
10 - 10:30 AM: Equipment Roadeo Competitor Safety Briefing
10:30 AM - 12 PM: Equipment Roadeo Competition (No fee to compete, Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place, Free t-shirt)
12 - 1:30 PM: Lunch
1:30 PM: Prize Raffle (visit vendors to get raffle tickets)
