MAVWA 2026 Workshop Proposal Form

DEADLINE FOR PROPOSALS IS APRIL 30TH 2026

We are looking for experienced teachers to run Workshops at the 43rd annual Festival, and would love to hear from you with ideas.

Here is some information to help you decide what form your proposed workshop would take:

Duration can be from half a day to 2 full days.
Morning hours are generally 9am through noon, and 1pm through 4pm, although that is flexible depending on your needs.
1- and 2-day workshops are scheduled for the two days prior to the Festival: Thursday, October 1st, and Friday, October 2nd.
half-day workshops can be scheduled for the Thursday, Friday, Saturday October 3rd, and/or Sunday morning, October 4th.
You may also submit variations on a workshop duration. E.g. a proposal for a 1-day, and a proposal for a 3-hour version.
Materials fees will be paid directly to the instructor by the students.
Consider what is the minimum number of students you need to make your workshop worthwhile.
We hope workshops will encourage students to visit the Festival vendors, and ideally purchase supplies from them.

If we accept your proposal(s), we'll get back to you for some further information (like a brief bio) and we'll write up the workshop details in a contract for you.
