Choreographed group works are limited to 5 minutes, while solos, duets, and improvised group pieces are limited to 3 minutes.

Licenses and Permissions: The E Foundation assumes all music and visual permissions and rights for works submitted have been attained by the submitting artists. E Foundation and the Community Dance Showcase are not responsible for attaining permissions or rights for material. I further warrant that I or my institution have procured all necessary legal rights and authorizations to perform this dance. The choreographer(s) and/or artistic director(s) acknowledge and assume full responsibility for all necessary licenses and/or permissions related to this performance, including but not limited to any text, sound, or media. I shall save, indemnify, and hold the E Foundation and the Community Dance Showcase (including their officers, directors or trustees, employees, agents, and independent contractors) harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from my failure to secure any necessary rights for performing this dance.
Video Waiver: I _________as the choreographer or organization/faculty member responsible for securing relevant performance rights give my consent to the video recording of this dance with the understanding that this recording is for archival purposes, documentation and/or scheduling the Community Dance Showcase, other E Foundation activities and will be kept in the E Foundation archives. The E Foundation will not provide copies of recordings of this dance unless specific notification otherwise has been provided. Any request for duplication should be sent to the E Foundation. No duplications of this recording will be made available without my written permission.
Media Release: By submitting work to the Community Dance Showcase, choreographer(s) and artistic director(s) agree that images and video from their performance may be used for promotional or marketing purposes and in sponsored publications of the Community Dance Showcase, the E Foundation, the Alabama Dance Council, and the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
I understand that each performer will be required to register for the Community Dance Showcase and will not gain access to the backstage area if they are not registered. (Registration is free.)
I understand that all applications are reviewed and the E Foundation reserves the right to request submission of a different work if the movement or music submitted is not considered family-friendly.
I hereby wave all rights that I may have against the Evalyn Washington Humphrey Foundation for Arts and Education (E Foundation), the Academy for Academics and Arts, funders, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, staff to sue for any injury, loss of property, or death suffered by me or my performers. This waiver shall be binding upon my heirs, successors, and assigns.
