    The Burnett Foundation Innovation Challenge seeks ideas that could help accelerate the elimination of HIV transmission in Aotearoa and supports people living with HIV. We are particularly interested in proposals that responsibly apply artificial intelligence or digital technology in ways that are safe, ethical, and respond to real community needs.

    Successful applicants may receive development funding of up to $30,000, along with access to Burnett Foundation expertise and sector connections.

    Understanding the Context

    • How would you ensure your idea is safe, respectful, and appropriate for communities most affected by HIV in Aotearoa New Zealand? For example, you may wish to consider issues such as privacy, stigma, cultural safety, trust, or how people would engage with your solution. (Max 200 words)
    • What additional knowledge, insight, or collaboration would help you strengthen or refine your idea? For example, this might include community perspectives, lived experience, behavioural insights, clinical expertise, or user experience research.(Max 200 words)
    • What risks, sensitivities, or unintended consequences should Burnett Foundation consider when exploring ideas like yours? These might relate to privacy, stigma, trust, cultural considerations, or the responsible use of technology.
