OLDSCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE (OBL) RULES
1. Game Duration: Two 15-minute halves (stop clock for timeouts, free throws, injuries, delays). One timeout per half.
2. Possession: Alternates on jump balls.
3. Playoff Eligibility: Players must play at least three games to qualify for semifinals.
4. Fouls: Max 5 per player.
5. Player Registration: Only registered players can play. Fill-ins allowed only if a team has fewer than five players (not in semis/finals).
6. Aggressive Fouls: Punching, elbowing, tripping, pushing may lead to suspension per referee and management decision.
7. Conduct: No racial slurs or verbal abuse. Serious incidents may lead to suspension or season disqualification.
8. Game Rescheduling: Unsafe conditions or serious fights may result in double disqualification or reschedule.
9. Overtime: First 2 minutes, then 1-minute intervals until a winner is decided.
10. Shooting Disruptions: No clapping, shouting, or foot-stomping during shots.
11. Semifinals Format: Rank 1 vs. Rank 4, Rank 2 vs. Rank 3. If 10 teams, two divisions; bottom two teams eliminated.
12. Forfeits: $50 penalty for elimination.
13. Shot Clock: Only in the last 2 minutes of semifinals and finals.

WAIVER & RELEASE AGREEMENT
This Agreement is entered into between the listed team (“as per above team name”) and all its players.
1. Assumption of Risk: Players acknowledge that basketball involves risks (injury, property damage, or death) and voluntarily assume responsibility. OBL is not liable for any related costs or damages.
2. Release of Liability: Players waive all claims against OBL, its organizers, staff, referees, and sponsors for injuries or losses sustained during games.
3. Insurance: OBL does not provide insurance. Players are responsible for their own health and accident coverage.
4. Code of Conduct: Players must follow OBL rules and conduct policies. Violations may result in suspension or dismissal.
5. Acknowledgment of Understanding: The team manager/captain is responsible for ensuring all players read and agree to these terms.
