This year, we are delighted to welcome students to our program. Our commitment is to provide enjoyable, educational, and engaging activities for all participants. In order to maintain a safe and enriching environment, we kindly request that interested students commit to attending the entire duration of our program. This entails being present for the full program without arriving late or leaving early due to other scheduled activities such as sports practices or private lessons. This policy is essential to ensure the safety and accountability of all students attending. Additionally, to uphold a secure environment, we kindly ask that you enroll your child in the school they are currently attending. We emphasize the importance of commitment from both children and families, requiring full participation throughout the program's duration. Dismissal will occur during the final 15 minutes of the program, and we request that you collect your child promptly at that time. If there is a scheduled medical appointment that necessitates early pick-up, please communicate this with the Site Coordinator in advance. Furthermore, we take pride in offering an exceptional program tailored to our students' needs. We value your input and are committed to continuously improving our program. We look forward to working collaboratively with you to create a rewarding and enriching experience for all our students.

To ensure that every student benfits from OST we ask that you sign up for days that you know your child will be attending and not any additional days. Our team works hard to plan engaging activities based on the number of students registered each day.

While we understand that plans can change, if this does happen please reach out so that we can adjust your days. This helps us allocate resources effectively and ensure a great experience for all students.

Thank you for your support in helping us maximize engagement during afterschool.

Please make sure you stay up-to-date with everything OST by subscribing to our Calendar.

Lastly, it is VERY IMPORTANT that if your child is going to miss a day at afterschool you notify the correct people in order for us to ensure your child is safe and where they are supposed to be.  Please follow the following protocols for each school.

  • Activity Descriptions

Iron Rebels: Join the Iron Rebels Club, where students build strength, confidence, and community through weightlifting. Guided by experienced instructors, participants learn proper techniques and progress at their own pace. Whether you're new or experienced, this club offers a supportive environment to push your limits and achieve personal goals.

Picture Perfect: Lights, camera, creativity!  Students become photographers, storytellers, and visual artists. They’ll learn fun photography tricks, take creative photo challenges, and capture the best moments of afterschool life while discovering how a single photo can tell a powerful story.

Bike Shop: Students will roll up their sleeves to learn hands-on skills while working with bikes! From fixing flat tires and adjusting brakes to customizing their own rides, participants gain confidence and practical know-how in bike maintenance. Along the way, they build problem-solving skills, teamwork, and pride in keeping their wheels rolling, all while having fun and getting ready to ride with confidence.

  • Dear Families,

We are excited to share that our afterschool program has been selected to participate in a video project with Vermont Afterschool that highlights high-quality programming in the area of Social Emotional Learning (SEL). The goal of this project is to showcase positive, engaging afterschool practices that help children build skills such as teamwork, communication, and self-confidence.

As part of the project, a small video team along with a representative from Vermont Afterschool will visit our program sometime in April or May to film short clips of our program in action. The final video will be used as a training tool for afterschool professionals to demonstrate examples of high-quality programming.

If you would like to allow your child to appear in the video, you will need to complete the video release form. Participation is completely voluntary.

We are proud of the wonderful community we have created in our program and are excited for the opportunity to highlight the great work happening here. Thank you for your continued support!
