Colorado voters will soon be asked to weigh in on policies targeting transgender youth and immigrants during the November 2026 election. These campaigns are not rooted in the realities of everyday Coloradans. They’re imported, harmful distractions that threaten to strip away rights and divide our communities.
The three initiatives would:
- ban transgender youth from playing on school sports teams alongside their classmates, regardless of age
- override Colorado parents and their children's doctors by restricting access to gender-affirming medical care that experts recognize as safe and effective
- overturn existing state law and mandate that law enforcement notify ICE about a person’s immigration status
