  • Walton-Westphalia Scholarship Application

    The Walton-Westphalia Scholarship Program is an educational initiative designed support to residents of the Westphalia community pursuing studies in Real estate or Environmental Science. This scholarship aims to cultivate future leaders who will contribute to responsible development, environmental stewardship, and the continued growth of the Westphalia community.This scholarship program is part of Walton's commitment and long-standing investment in its mission to empower communities through education, sustainability, and economic opportunity.
  • Eligibility Criteria

    Submit all required documentation by the application deadline.To be eligible, applicants must:

    • Be a resident of the Westphalia community in Prince George’s County, MD
    • Be a graduating high school senior or a current undergraduate accepted/enrolled in a Real Estate or Environmental Studies/Science program at an accredited college oruniversity
    • Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
    • Demonstrate community involvement or interest in sustainability urban development, or land use
    • Submit all required documentation by the application deadline

    • Completed online application
    • Proof of residency in Westphalia
    • Proof of enrollment or acceptance into an accredited real estate or environmental science program
    • Unofficial transcript reflecting a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
    • 500–750-word essay
    • 2 letters of recommendation from teachers, mentors, or community leaders
    • All materials must be submitted via the online application portal
