  • SPRING 2026 ATLANTA TRIP BEHAVIOR CONTRACT

    The school and parent organization wants to ensure that this is a great trip for each one of you. Rules are necessary to guarantee your safety and the success of the organization. Please understand that these guidelines are for everyone. Do not elect to ignore any of these regulations. We want you to have a good, safe and educational trip. Failure to comprehend, understand or read the above guidelines is not an excuse for failing to abide by them. When in doubt, simply do not do it! Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
  • 1. Students are expected to conduct themselves with class and maturity at all times. Chaperones will be “on duty” at all times to meet students’ needs and enforce these rules and regulations. Students knowing of any potential rule infractions are encouraged to bring their concerns to a chaperone’s attention with the assurance of anonymity, if desired.

    2. Students will be considered in school while attending any activity associated with this trip, as well as while traveling and participating in activities during the trip. All school rules and District rules will apply during the dates of this trip.

    3. Students will be expected to follow the specified requirements as outlined in the school handbook.

    4. The regular school dress code will be strictly enforced. Students are expected to dress in a manner which will represent the school appropriately.

    5. The use of any alcoholic beverages, drug substances, or any type of tobacco (Cigarettes, chew, vaping) is not permitted. Students will be sent home for an infraction of this rule.

    6. All bus riding rules will be strictly adhered to. Treat the bus driver with respect and be very courteous to them. Take all items off the bus. The bus is to be kept clean at all times.

    7. Students shall follow the rules and directions of every chaperone and leader that has been appointed for this trip.

    8. No student may leave their hotel room once curfew has been established. Any student caught leaving their room after curfew will be sent home at their parent’s expense. Any room that has their tape broken during the night will be subject to full disciplinary action (ie. sent home) pending investigation.

    9. Involvement in any misconduct during this event which violates local or federal law, where such conduct of the likelihood of engaging in such conduct poses a clear and present danger to the health, welfare or safety of other students, teachers, or sponsors will result in disciplinary action. School personnel cannot intervene on behalf of any student who might be arrested for shoplifting, vandalism, disturbing the peace, etc. Such an event would jeopardize any future school trips of any sort for that school. Students will be sent home for an infraction of this rule.

    10. Leaving assigned areas without prior consent from a chaperone or the director will not be permitted. During the trip, students will, at no time, be unsupervised. It is required that a chaperone know the location of all his/her assigned students at all times.

    11. Do not use phones in the rooms. You must make all of your calls on a pay phone in the lobby of the hotel or your own personal cell phone.

    12. Students will be expected to have spending money and money for the specified meals and snacks while on the trip.

    13. Members of the opposite sex can only be in each others rooms during pre-determined “fellowship” times, with the door wide open and with both their chaperones full knowledge.

    14. Work out schedules for the showers. Please bathe!!

    15. Everyone will be present for meals whether you wish to eat or not. We encourage everyone to eat at every meal.

    16. It is required that your name and address be placed on all items that accompany you on this trip.

    17. All hotel property is to stay at the hotel. Examples: Towels, ashtrays, lamps, table, pillows, beds, etc.

    18. If infractions are made, it will be at the discretion of the staff to determine what action will be taken.

    Action may include:
    A. Room assignment change
    B. Bus assignment change
    C. Student will be sent home at parents’ expense
