  • Welcome!

  • Thank you for continuing to work with Organize My Space Calgary (OMS). This agreement outlines the expectations, scope, and terms of service for your Simple Living Reset™ package so we can continue supporting calm, functional, and maintainable spaces.

Simple Living Reset™ sessions are designed to help existing clients maintain, adjust, and refresh organizing systems that were previously created or established. These sessions are intended to support ongoing function, seasonal changes, small resets, and light refinements as life evolves.

Reset sessions are not intended to replace a full organizing package or complete large new organizing projects unless additional time or a separate package is arranged.

  • The Simple Living Reset™️ Options

  • OMS currently offers the following Simple Living Reset™ options:

    Monthly Reset
One 3-hour organizing reset session per month. Best for clients who want regular support maintaining systems, managing household changes, resetting high-use spaces, or staying on track.

    Seasonal Reset
One 3-hour organizing reset session every three months. Best for seasonal adjustments, household transitions, pantry/closet refreshes, family routine changes, or periodic system tune-ups.

    Annual Home Reset
One 6-hour organizing reset session per year. Best for a larger yearly refresh, reconnecting spaces that have shifted over time, preparing for a new season, or updating systems that no longer fit the household’s current needs.

Reset services are intended to maintain, refresh, and adjust previously organized spaces. Large new organizing projects, additional rooms, move support, estate work, high-volume decluttering, or major system overhauls may require additional time or a separate organizing package.

  • The Simple Living Signature System™

  • OMS uses the Simple Living Signature System™ to guide both organizing projects and reset sessions. This framework helps create and maintain systems that are practical, calm, and realistic for everyday life.

The Simple Living Signature System™ includes:

Vision — Reconnecting with what you want the space to help you do, feel like, or make possible.
Decisions — Reviewing what still belongs, what no longer supports your current season of life, and what may need to be donated, relocated, recycled, or discarded.
Systems — Adjusting simple homes for belongings based on frequency of use, accessibility, visibility, household habits, and ease of maintenance.
Habits — Identifying small habits that help the system continue working.
Maintenance — Recognizing that life changes and systems may need seasonal resets, adjustments, or ongoing support.

The Simple Living Signature System™ is not about perfection. It is about helping your home continue to support real life.

  • Scope of Reset Services

  • Simple Living Reset™ sessions are intended to maintain, refresh, and adjust organizing systems previously established during organizing projects.

    Reset services may include:

    • light decluttering support
    • resetting existing organizing systems
    • seasonal adjustments
    • refining labels, zones, categories, or product placement
    • adjusting systems to reflect household changes, routines, mobility, children’s ages, hobbies, work patterns, or new belongings
    • reviewing what is working and what is no longer working
    • donation/removal support for client-approved items
    • maintenance recommendations and next-step planning

These sessions may include sorting, light decluttering, organizing, labelling, product placement, and system adjustments depending on the selected reset package and client-approved scope.

Large new organizing projects, additional spaces, high-volume decluttering, moves, estate work, or major product/system redesigns may require additional time or a separate organizing package.

  • Organizing Products and Supplies

  • Maintenance sessions may involve light product adjustments, label updates, replacement products, or small organizing supply recommendations.

Organizing products and supplies are not automatically included in reset or maintenance packages unless specifically stated in the selected package or confirmed in writing by OMS.

Any additional organizing products, specialty solutions, replacement supplies, or client-requested product purchases will be discussed and approved before purchase and billed separately.

OMS product recommendations are based on function, durability, proper fit, client budget, easy maintenance, long-term sustainability, and simple systems the client can maintain.

  • Client Responsibilities

  • Successful reset outcomes depend on the client’s participation in the light decluttering, decision-making, and maintenance process. Clients agree to actively participate in decisions regarding items that are kept, donated, relocated, recycled, sold, or discarded.

Clients are responsible for identifying valuables, confidential documents, sentimental items, medications, financial records, legal documents, heirlooms, photographs, and items they do not want moved, donated, or discarded.

The client is responsible for ensuring that appropriate household decision-makers are present or available during sessions when decisions are required. OMS cannot make decisions on behalf of absent household members.

For safety and productivity, pets and young children should be safely supervised or secured as needed during reset sessions. OMS may pause or reschedule work if pets, children, or household activity create unsafe or unworkable conditions.

  • Scheduling

  • Reset sessions are scheduled based on OMS availability, client availability, and the selected reset package.

OMS will make reasonable efforts to schedule sessions within the applicable monthly, seasonal, or annual timeframe. Maintenance clients may receive priority scheduling where possible, but specific dates and times are subject to availability.

Clients are encouraged to book reset sessions in advance to ensure availability.

  • Session Length

  • Reset sessions are generally scheduled in three-hour increments unless otherwise specified in the selected package. The Annual Home Reset includes one 6-hour session unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Additional time may be added, if available, and billed at the current hourly rate or scheduled as a separate session or package.

  • Payment Terms

  • Payment for Simple Living Reset™ services is due according to the selected package or service agreement.

Accepted payment methods include e-transfer, credit card with applicable processing fee, or other approved payment methods.

Invoices must be paid within the stated payment period.

Payment confirms the client’s place in the reset/maintenance schedule.

Monthly reset packages may be paused for up to one month with advance notice and OMS approval. Paused sessions must still be used within the applicable service period unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Appointments may be rescheduled with at least twenty-four (24) hours notice.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than twenty-four (24) hours notice may be deducted from the reset package or subject to a cancellation fee.

If OMS must reschedule due to illness, emergency, unsafe conditions, weather, or unforeseen circumstances, a new appointment time will be arranged.

  • Travel and Parking

  • Any parking fees, building access charges, or travel costs outside the standard service area may be billed to the client at actual cost.

Travel time, mileage, or a flat travel fee may apply for locations outside the OMS standard service area.

  • Liability

  • OMS is not responsible for:

    • Pre-existing damage to items or spaces
    • Damage resulting from normal handling during organizing sessions
    • Items donated, discarded, or relocated with client permission
    • Loss of items not disclosed to the organizer prior to the session

Clients are responsible for securing valuable or sensitive items before sessions begin.

  • Confidentiality

  • All client information, addresses, personal details, household details, family information, project notes, and observations during organizing sessions will remain confidential.

OMS will not share client information without permission unless required by law.

  • Photography

  • Photos or videos may occasionally be taken for project documentation, planning, progress tracking, product planning, or marketing purposes.

No identifying personal information will be shared without written client consent.

Before-and-after photos used for marketing will only be used with client consent. Clients may decline photography at any time.

Clients are responsible for identifying any private, sensitive, confidential, or personal items they do not want photographed.

  • Unsafe Working Conditions

  • OMS reserves the right to pause, reschedule, decline, or discontinue services if the working environment is unsafe, hazardous, outside the agreed scope, or requires specialized remediation or third-party support.

Unsafe or out-of-scope conditions may include, but are not limited to:

    • structural hazards
    • mould or suspected mould
    • water damage or damp materials
    • excessive dust or poor air quality
    • pest activity or infestation
    • biohazards
    • bodily fluids, needles, human or animal waste
    • unsafe clutter conditions
    • aggressive or unsecured pets
    • weapons, drugs, drug paraphernalia, or hazardous materials
    • strong chemical, gas, or unknown odours
    • unsafe visitors, household conflict, or threatening behaviour
    • any condition where OMS reasonably determines the project cannot continue safely

If unsafe conditions are identified, services may be rescheduled once the environment has been made safe or appropriate remediation has occurred. OMS may recommend professional remediation, junk removal, pest control, cleaning, or other third-party services where appropriate.

  • Miscellaneous Terms & Conditions

  • For safety, privacy, and liability reasons, OMS does not handle, organize, remove, transport, or dispose of weapons, firearms, ammunition, illegal goods, drugs, drug paraphernalia, hazardous materials, bodily fluids, needles, human or animal waste, pest-infested items, mould-contaminated items, pornography or explicit materials, falsified records, or other restricted items.

OMS does not make decisions regarding valuables, confidential documents, legal records, medications, financial records, heirloom photographs, valuable artwork, or highly sensitive items unless the client is present and directing the process.

OMS cannot make decisions regarding the disposal, donation, sale, relocation, or removal of personal belongings without client approval.

OMS maintains a smoke-free work environment. Excessive pet hair, strong odours, unsafe working conditions, or environments requiring remediation may require sessions to be paused, rescheduled, or discontinued.

  • Scope Expansion

  • Reset packages are intended for maintenance, refresh, adjustment, and light organizing support. If additional spaces, large new organizing projects, major decluttering, move support, estate work, or significant system redesign is requested, additional time may be required and may be billed accordingly or scheduled as a separate organizing package.

OMS will discuss any changes to the reset scope with the client before proceeding.

  • Donation Authorization

  • Items identified and approved by the client for donation, recycling, disposal, or removal during reset sessions are considered authorized for removal from the property.

Once items are removed from the property for donation, recycling, or disposal, OMS cannot guarantee that items can be retrieved. Clients are responsible for ensuring any items they wish to keep are clearly identified before removal.

OMS is not responsible for the condition, resale, handling, acceptance, rejection, or final destination of donated items once transferred to a donation organization or disposal facility.

Donation or disposal removal is offered only when it is within reset scope, safe to complete, and manageable within vehicle capacity and session time. Large-volume donations, junk removal, hazardous items, confidential shredding, landfill runs, or specialty disposal may require a separate plan or third-party provider.

  • Session Expiration

  • Reset sessions must be scheduled and used within the applicable service period:

    • Monthly Reset sessions must be used within the calendar month
    • Seasonal Reset sessions must be used within the applicable three-month period
    • Annual Home Reset sessions must be used within twelve (12) months of purchase

Unused sessions do not carry forward unless otherwise agreed in writing by OMS.

Unused sessions are not refundable once services have begun.

  • Project Results Disclaimer

  • While OMS strives to maintain and improve effective organizing systems, specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on factors such as the client’s participation, decision-making pace, household changes, volume of items, and ongoing maintenance of the systems implemented.

  • Referral Program

  • OMS has a referral program to thank clients who share OMS with friends, family members, neighbours, colleagues, or clients who may benefit from organizing support.

At the end of a package or reset session, OMS may provide a referral leave-behind card with the current referral offer and referral code.

Referral credits, discounts, eligibility, and tracking are managed by OMS and must be confirmed before use. Referral offers may change from time to time.
