  • Plenary Session: Proposed Speaker Names and Affiliations

Plenary sessions are generally restricted to a maximum of three speakers and one moderator. If the moderator is expected to have a speaking/presentation role, then the session is restricted to a maximum of two speakers and one moderator/speaker. Each speaker must be from a different company or organization.

In accordance with ICPHSO’s mission and policies, proposals must be inclusive of the diversity within ICPHSO’s membership, conference, attendees, and marketplace at large. Proposals should include speakers that: (a) represent a range of stakeholder groups and perspectives; (b) have standing as experts in their field; (c) provide geographical and human diversity; and (d) have limited presentations at previous ICPHSO conferences. Proposals with recommended moderators and speakers that do not meet this requirement may not be selected or, if selected, may be modified by the Planning Chair and ICPHSO Executive Committee. Speakers and moderators suitable for selection will have demonstrable experience and expertise in the subject matter. Please provide the names of your proposed panel speakers, together with their affiliations. While the ICPHSO Executive Committee must approve all moderator and panel speaker suggestions, please approach the proposed moderator and panel speakers on a tentative basis in advance of the submission to confirm their interest and willingness to participate if chosen, before providing their names. Every ICPHSO session must include a balanced and diverse group of presenters so that differing perspectives can be presented during each session. Differing perspectives could include regulators, consumer and parent advocates, NGO’s, trade associations. Where one perspective is presented, an opposite perspective should also be presented for balance.
