Nomination of Startup Village Ambassadors
Each Startup Village stakeholder can nominate a SME or startup for selection of Startup Village Ambassadors. The nomination should be submitted by answering pre-determined questions about the nominated company. The questions are short and concise, answered with YES or NO and with short description. The company must be aware of the nomination and confirm it.
Non-Eligible Profiles
The following entities are not suitable for Startup Village Ambassador nomination:
- General IT startups without agri-food relevance
- Pure consulting companies
- E-commerce businesses without local production or systemic rural integration

Nomination based on evaluation criteria for selection of Startup Village Ambassadors

A. Agri-Food System Relevance

The company operates within the Agri-Food sector, contributing to at least one segment of the rural food value chain:*

B. Rural and Ecosystem Embeddedness

The company provides evidence of operational integration within an officially recognised Startup Village ecosystem:*

The company demonstrably contributes to circular systemic bioeconomy transition, through the structural implementation of at least one of the following principles*:*

• Reuse of organic residues
• Regenerative agricultural practices
• Development of bio-based materials or products
• Resource efficiency (water, soil, nutrients)
• Closing local material loops

* The contribution must be embedded within the business model and operational processes, going beyond general sustainability claims such as “we recycle” or “we are green”.

D. Transformative and Visibility Potential

The company presents a clear and compelling case illustrating*:*
