    Electric Forest 2026
  • The Electric Forest Student Staff Program provides paid positions to students who have the opportunity to gain understanding of the inner workings of various departments and staff that contribute to the overall success and management of a large scale music festival like Electric Forest; meeting and working with industry professionals, and gaining insight and understanding of event management in real time. 

    The Student Staff Program has been a part of the Electric Forest Family since the earliest inception of the event in 2008!

    Please submit your responses by May 31st, 2026 - please note positions for student staff are NOT guaranteed; we will do our best to find positions for all applicants.

  • In addition to the Student Staff Program, AEG Presents is proud to host a free, one-day career exposure event as part of our College Connection Program: Inside Electric Forest: All Access Day.

    Date: Monday, June 22, 2026
    Time: 12:00pm – 5:00pm 
    Location: Electric Forest, Rothbury, MI
    Eligibility: 18+ Only

    This unique experience will give selected participants an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to produce a large-scale music festival. Attendees will participate in a guided tour of the festival site before it opens to the public, engage in career-focused panel discussions with industry professionals, and network with key players across the live entertainment industry.

    Please note: This is a career exposure event and does not include admission to attend the full Electric Forest festival.

  • During this experience you will be working for a specific department at EF and each department will have its own schedule and its own practices. You will need to adhere to the policies, schedules, and requirements provided by your department supervisor. Below are some examples of Student Staff participation departments: 

    Festival Site Operations - responsible for managing all aspects of the festival grounds overseeing the logistical and operational aspects of the festival site including infrastructure, facilities, security, and crowd management.

    VIP/ Good Life - Responsible for managing the experience of VIP ticketed guests ensuring they receive exclusive amenities and experiences to enhance their festival experience. 

    Elevated Experiences Assistant - Assist in the set-up and operations for Elevated Experiences (includes Good Life, GA+ camping and Uplift Lounge)  

    Food & Beverage Check In - This is an attendee facing position managing guest flow, ensuring a smooth start to each specialty event experience.

    Artist Relations - Responsible for facilitating all interactions between the festival and the artists; this department is the primary point of contact for all artist-related logistics.

    Decor Quartermaster Assistant - Assist Decor QM to set-up, organize and inventory all supplies, materials and assets  

    Runner Assistant Student Staff - Assist the Productions Runners/Coordinators in on site tasks with dutis ranging from admin to delivering items to stages. 

    Publicity / Marketing - Assisting with photo pit management, overseeing organization of EF's media lounge, and shadowing media team across general press activities to learn more about how PR is managed onsite at a festival.

    Special Programming Assistant - Assisting the Special Programming Department activating a variety of special events occurring throughout the weekend across the festival 

    Interactive Performance Production Assistant - Assist in setting up the sets, props, and wardrobe for interactive areas

  • 2026 Electric Forest Student Staff Program Information: 

    EF strives to create supportive working environments where students can comfortably ask questions, seek guidance, and share experiences as you experience new skill development, networking opportunities, and gain insights into different career paths throughout this unique learning opportunity!

    You will be provided with a camping location on the festival grounds, meals for all working days, and proper credentials for your position. Please note you will be working and sleeping outside for multiple days/nights. Always remember to dress for all weather and closed-toed shoes are required while on the job.

    Once accepted into the program you will be invited to join an informational Zoom Meeting about the program experience as well as a digital group setting where you will be able to connect with other students in the program, find answers to any questions you may have, and recieve lots of helpful tips for what to pack, what to wear, what to expect and more! Carpooling is requested of all student staff as this makes for fewer vehicles on-site; you will be able to coordinate with other students in the program about carpooling, tents, camping supplies, etc. 

    Most importantly remember to have fun and use this working experience as an amazing learning opportunity!
