MEETING/GROUP PHOTOS

MANDATORY MEETING WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, 05/17/26 AT 4PM. ALL PAPERWORK IS DUE AT THIS MEETING. GROUP PHOTOS OF CONTESTANTS WILL TAKE PLACE AT 3PM. CONTESTANTS WILL BE IN A RED SUNDRESS! THIS DRESS WILL BE RE-WORN AT OPENING INTRODUCTIONS AT PAGEANT. DETAILS ON ALL OF THIS WILL BE EMAILED OUT AFTER REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

Thank you for signing your daughter (or) self up to compete this year in the Miss Indpendence Pageant, we are SO lucky to have you joining us and can't wait to watch you shine and grow on stage as you build character and confidence.

A few changes are taking place this year, that we are very excited about. We will discuss more at our paperwork meeting.

We will NOT be having weekly practices, given there are other sports going on and listening to feedback of every Monday being a lot on families who have to travel in we will only have our rehearsal!

This encourages the parents to ensure that their daughters are prepared and ready to compete come June 20th! We will provide videos, walking patterns, etc. but we feel very confident that you and your child are capable of putting in the prep work to get ready! We will still be available to help you answer any questions, etc as needed.

Please ensure the email and phone number that you entered is accurate as more important information to include walking patterns, guidlines, etc will all be sent via email and you will be added to a GROUPME via text.

Pageant Rehearsal | 6/18 - ALL Divisions 5:30 - 8PM (Photogenic Pics Due)

Pageant Day | 6/20 - We will go over times, etc at Paperwork Meeting

CATEGORIES:

Tiny, Little & Junior | Opening Intro (not judged), Patriotic, Gown and Denim & Diamond Wear

Young, Miss & Elite | Opening Intro (not judged), Patriotic, Gown and Fitness

PHOTOGENIC is an OPTIONAL. More specifics will be sent out via email for those of you that sign up for photogenic. This is judged separate and is its own award.

TALENT is an OPTIONAL. It must be a talent: dancing, singing, playing an instrument, gymnastics, etc. This is judged separate. This year we will provide a drop box link where you will submit a clear video of your talent. The judges will review and score these during intermission of the pageant. You will not compete for this AT the pageant. You have 1min 45seconds. Again, this is NOT required and does not count against you if you choose to not compete. PLEASE only submit an entry when we open this up IF you (or) child has a talent listed above.

DENIM & DIAMONDS - NO props. Your outfit is the moment. We will send info and inspo ideas out on this after registration.

FITNESS - Each contestant will do the same walking pattern, there will be no acrobats, etc added in to the walks by the contestant.
Miss Independence Pageant Participation Agreement

By signing above, I confirm that I am voluntarily allowing myself (or my child) to participate in the Miss Independence Pageant. I authorize JotForm to process this payment. I agree to follow all rules and guidelines set forth by Miss Independence and understand that the purpose of this event is to promote good sportsmanship, confidence, leadership, and the uplifting of young girls in and around our community. I understand that any negative, unsportsmanlike, or inappropriate behavior by contestants or family members may result in disqualification from this year’s pageant and may affect eligibility to compete in future Miss Independence events. I understand that participation in any event carries some risk. By signing below, I agree to release, waive, and hold harmless Miss Independence, its directors, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and venue from any claims, liabilities, damages, injuries, accidents, or loss of personal property that may occur before, during, or after participation in this event. I also grant permission for Miss Independence to photograph and/or record myself (or my child) during the event and authorize the use of these photos on social media. If the contestant is under the age of 18, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian and give permission for my child to participate in this event.
