Alaska has some of the highest suicide rates in the country, and men are particularly affected. FWC is hosting this Community Conversation to better understand why that is, and how we can better support the men in our community.
The event will begin with small breakout discussions to give general attendees a chance to design questions, followed by a moderated panel featuring men, and mental health professionals, sharing their experience and perspectives.
The insights gathered from both breakout discussions and the panel will be used as qualitative data to help inform future suicide prevention efforts and may be shared publicly in a summarized, de-identified way to support broader community awareness and action.
FWC will need your help to make this event a success! Whether you're interested in being a volunteer, notetaker, tabler, or panelist, we want you on our team! Fill out this form and FWC will reach out to you with the details.
