    Planning, Preparedness, and Readiness Survey

  • Zoological Disaster Response, Rescue, and Recovery (ZDR3) is working to better understand the planning, preparedness, and readiness needs of zoos, aquariums, sanctuaries, and other facilities housing non-domesticated animals across the country.

This survey is designed to assist with materials to aid and supplement contingency plans and identify which tools, resources, and educational topics would be most helpful and impactful for facilities caring for non-domesticated animals. Your feedback will help guide the development of future resources and support initiatives for the zoological community. This effort is intended to complement, not duplicate, existing resources and deliver practical support where it is needed most.

Participation is voluntary.  While some questions are required to help guide meaningful insights, you may skip optional questions you prefer not to answer.

All responses will be kept confidential and used only to better identify needs and guide priorities in material development. Individual responses will not be shared publicly, and no identifying information will be linked to any specific individual or facility in reports, presentations, or publications. Survey results will be shared only in aggregate form to support learning and preparedness across the broader zoological community.  Indicating interest in additional tools, topics, or resources is not intended to reflect a lack of preparedness, but rather to help inform where additional support is of interest.
