GRAC's 2026 Youth Poet Ambassador Application
The Youth Poet Ambassador program is open to all Kentucky youth poets ages 13-19. The application cycle is open 4/1/2026 - 4/17/2026, or until we reach our submission cap. Select Poet Ambassadors admitted into the program will receive a $50 stipend. Select Poet Ambassadors will commit to honoring and celebrating poetry through community service and volunteer work at the Gateway Regional Arts Center for the 2026-2027 Poet Ambassador cycle. Poet Ambassadors will work closely with GRAC’s Resident Teaching Artist and Pushcart nominated writer, Kelly Ward, who serves at GRAC on behalf of the ArtistYear AmeriCorps program. By committing to the Poet Ambassador program, Ambassadors will be expected to participate in requested service work and volunteer events at GRAC, in exchange for FREE admission to select GRAC literary and/or Signature events and classes, including our “An Intimate Evening With…” reading series, among others.
