Operator Requirements
· All golf cart operators must be at least 16 years old.
· Must have a valid driver’s license for all listed drivers
· Must submit a copy of current liability insurance
· Completed golf cart application form
Golf Cart Permit Display and Usage Rules
· Each golf cart must display an approved permit on the front of the cart, and the permit must remain clearly visible at all times.
· Golf carts are only allowed in designated areas and on approved routes. Carts are strictly prohibited from entering the midway and crowded pedestrian zones.
· The number of passengers must not exceed the number of seats installed by the manufacturer. Standing on the back or sides of the cart is not allowed, and no modifications may be made to add extra seating.
· When parking, ensure that the cart does not block access to concessions, walkways, doorways, or roadways.
· Golf carts must be kept secure at all times, especially during nighttime hours.
· Drivers are not permitted to operate golf carts after consuming alcoholic beverages.
· Side-by-sides, gators, or similarly manufactured vehicles may only be operated by Fair officials.
· Marion County Ag. Society is not responsible for damages to golf carts.
Violations and Enforcement
Violation of any of the above rules will result in the immediate and permanent revocation of the golf cart permit and removal of the cart from the fairgrounds. Applicants will be held responsible for any breaches of these policies.
