Workshop Timeslot #1
1) "Prevention Lab: What youth should know about substance use" with the Youth Drug Abuse Prevention Program (YDAPP) - This workshop will uncover the real risks of alcohol, cannabis, methamphetamine, and prescription drug misuse. Through teamwork and critical thinking, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the risks and harms associated with substance use by participating in a challenge at the end of the workshop.
2) "Tune Into Rhythm" with Rhythm and Truth - Join us for an interactive music-making experience, and learn how we can use the power of music and rhythm to foster community, release stress, and build resilience.
3) "The Importance of Green Spaces and Gardening" with the Koreatown, Pico Union, and Westlake Rooted (KPWR) Youth Project - Workshop will introduce access to green spaces, touch on food insecurity and an interactive portion of how to grow your own herbs and vegetables at home.
4) "Handling Peer Pressure: Tools for Teens" with KYCC Recovery Services - This workshop helps teens recognize how peer pressure shows up in their daily lives—from friends, social media, and school—and how it can impact their choices. Teens will learn how to say no, set boundaries, and stay true to themselves without feeling left out.
Workshop Timeslot #2
1) "Restorative Justice Circles" with the Bridge Program - Join us for a youth-led workshop facilitated by Bridge Program Leaders, featuring Restorative Justice Circles designed to encourage meaningful reflection on identity and community trauma, build connection, and support positive mental health.
2) "96-Story" with Koreatown Storytelling Program (KSP) - How have you and/or your family and friends been affected by the ICE raids. Share your story anonymously with Koreatown Storytelling Program.
3) "Money Smart: Designing Dreams" with Hanmi Bank - Facilitated by financial professionals from Hanmi Bank, this workshop will help you reflect on your personal values and how they inform your financial decisions.
4) "Let's Be Blunt: How the built environment influences substance use in your community" with Community Collaboration Program (CCP) - Participants will engage in activities and open dialogue about the impact of smoke shops and the sale of intoxicating cannabis products near schools and neighborhoods.
