2026 Glenn English National Cooperative Leadership Foundation Application
The Glenn English National Cooperative Leadership Foundation is proud to have awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to NRECA’s Youth Tour alumni since the program’s inception in 2014! One $10,000 scholarship and four $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually.

Deadline: May 10, 2026 at Midnight EST

To be considered for the Youth Tour Alumni Scholarship, you must meet each the following requirements:
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Be a former participant of NRECA's Electric Cooperative Youth Tour sponsored by an NRECA Voting Member*
- Have received academic credits equal to at least one year of college.
- Have completed at least one semester at an accredited university or college as a full-time student.
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited university or college by June 2, 2026.
- Be working on completing your first undergraduate degree.
Applicants are judged on the following:
- Cumulative GPA
- Co-op internships, work experience, and continued involvement beyond Youth Tour
- Civic, volunteer, and political activities
- Community involvement
- Leadership roles pursued and/or held
- Involvement in cooperative-based programs and activities
- All applicants are also required to submit:
- A 3-5 minute video, uploaded to youtube.com

If you participated in virtual or replacement Youth Tour programming in 2020, 2021 or 2022 through your state association, electric cooperative, or NRECA, please reach out to your state program coordinator and ask they verify your involvement in the program by contacting Cale McCall: YouthPrograms@NRECA.coop

Immediate family members of any director, officer, or employee of NRECA, RE Advisers Corporation, NRECA International or the Foundation shall not be eligible to apply for or receive any scholarship offered by the Foundation. For eligibility purposes, an immediate family member shall be limited to an individual’s spouse, sibling, child, grandchild, or great-grandchild.

All applicants are required to create a 3-5 minute video and submit it via YouTube.
