Adult ADHD Testing FAQ
  • Adult ADHD Testing FAQs

    • What is the Adult ADHD Testing service? And what is included?
    • Our Adult ADHD Testing service uses QBCheck, an FDA-cleared computerized assessment that measures attention, activity level, and impulse control. The test provides objective data that may help you and your healthcare provider better understand attention concerns.

      Test service includes:

      • Eligibility pre-screen
      • QBCheck ADHD assessment
      • Review of results
      • Written summary report
      • Secure delivery of results

    • Who is this testing for?
    • This service is designed for adults age 18 and older who want structured attention testing to better understand symptoms and share results with their healthcare provider. We do not offer testing for children or adolescents.

    • Does this test diagnose ADHD?
    • No. The test provides objective measurements of attention and impulse control, but a formal diagnosis requires a full clinical evaluation by a healthcare provider.
    • Will I receive medication or treatment through this service?
    • No. This is a testing-only service and does not include prescribing, therapy, or ongoing care.
    • Will I become a patient at your practice?
    • No. This is a stand-alone service and does not establish an ongoing treatment relationship.

    • How does the process work?
    • The process is simple:
      • Complete the eligibility pre-screen
      • Submit the intake questionnaire and payment
      • Receive your testing link
      • Complete the test from home
      • Receive your written summary report
    • How long does the test take?
    • The QBCheck assessment takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.
    • How long do I have to complete the test?
    • You will have 72 hours to complete the assessment once the testing link is issued.

If you allow the link to expire your test fee will not be refunded. You will need to pay a reactivation fee of $100 to receive a new link.

    • When will I receive my results?
    • Results are reviewed and delivered within 5–7 business days after the test is completed. Expedited review is available for an additional $75, with results provided within 48 hours after test completion.

    • What do I need to complete the test and is my information protected?
    • You will need:
      • A laptop or desktop computer with a camera
      • A stable internet connection
      • An updated browser (Chrome, Edge, or Safari)

Mobile phones and tablets cannot be used. All information is HIPAA protected, and testing fees are non-refundable once access is issued.

    • What should I do after I receive my results?
    • Your report should be shared with your current healthcare provider, who can determine next steps. If you do not have a provider, you may locate one through:
      • Psychology Today
      • Your local Community Services Board (CSB)
      • Your insurance member services line

    • Why should I pay for this test if it doesn’t diagnose ADHD?
    • Instead of relying only on memory or self-report, you’re walking into your provider visit with real data about how your brain functions. This can:

      • Make evaluations more efficient
      • Reduce guesswork
      • Support more accurate decisions

    • What is the cost of the ADHD testing service? And why not just use my insurance?
    • The ADHD testing service is $249. Optional expedited review is available for an additional $75, which provides results within 48 hours after test completion.
