FAMU Gulf Coast Chapter HS Senior Scholarship Application

Please carefully read the following information before completing this scholarship application. To be eligible, applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and reside within the Gulf Coast area. Applicants must also be high school seniors currently enrolled in a public, private, accredited virtual, or homeschool program located within the Gulf Coast service area. In addition, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grading scale.All applicants are required to submit several supporting documents as part of the application. A current sealed official transcript must be provided. Unofficial transcripts may be uploaded temporarily for application review; however, an official transcript must be submitted prior to the interview stage. Applicants must also submit two (2) letters of reference from non-relatives. At least one reference letter must come from a faculty member at the applicant’s school or institution, such as an administrator, teacher, or guidance counselor. All reference letters must be signed by the recommending individual and include their contact information.Additional required materials include a professional digital headshot photo (no proof images), a copy of SAT and/or ACT scores, and proof of acceptance into Florida A&M University, which must be presented at the interview. Applicants must also submit a written essay response of at least 500 words as part of the application package.Please note that the application deadline is April 24, 2026. All applications and supporting documentation must be received or postmarked by this date.
