About the Event
Purpose CLT Presents: RECESS — The Back-to-School Benefit
Located at Urban District Market & Seoul Food in the Mill District, this immersive activation is designed to fuse nostalgic play with sincere community impact.
The Concept: Engineering the Ultimate Recess
We are turning up the volume on giving back. RECESS is not just a market; it is a high-energy platform designed to amplify Charlotte’s local creators while coming together to #StuffTheBus for local students. As a Purpose CLT activation, every detail tells a story of connection, inviting the community to shop with purpose, hit the playground, and uplift lives. 100% of vendor fees and event profits go directly to charity.
The Experience
We are looking for vendors to activate this dynamic, inclusive atmosphere featuring three interactive zones:
✨ Zone 1 | The Rink: A pop-up roller disco! We are curating a high-energy soundscape of 90s and 00s throwbacks right on the paved trail to dictate the tempo of the event.
✨ Zone 2 | Vendor Village: A bustling, curated outdoor marketplace fostering connection between local artisans, pop-culture creators, and a community eager to support local. (This is your zone!)
✨ Zone 3 | The Playground: Step up to the ultimate adult recess! We're keeping the energy elevated with an array of free-play games including Cornhole, Pong, Table Tennis, Giant Connect 4, Flip Cup, Plinko, Checkers, and Chess.
