    1. Sportsmanship
Parents and guardians agree to demonstrate good sportsmanship at all games, practices, and all league events. Parents and guardians will treat all players, coaches, officials, spectators, and league board members with respect. Parents and guardians agree that arguing with or confronting any official/referee will not be allowed. As a parent/guardian you may address concerns through the MCYFA Board by contacting the board President after the game if necessary. Parents and guardians will encourage fairness, integrity, and positive behavior for all athletes.

    2. Player Support
Parents and guardians agree to encourage their child to follow all league and team rules, respect all coaches, teammates, board members, and opponents. Parents/guardians should emphasize effort, learning, and teamwork over winning. Parents/guardians agree to ensure their child attends practices and games on time and comes prepared with practice or game day essentials (uniform, cleats, helmet, shoulder pads, mouth guard, and drink).

    3. Designated Spectator Area
Parents and guardians agree to remain in designated spectator areas during practices, games and league events. Parents/Guardians/Spectators are not allowed on the practice field, playing field, or in the press box without approval from the MCYFA board.

    4. Events

A player's field time and playing positions will be assessed by the coaches at practices and adjusted as needed. Parents/Guardians agree to not interfere with coaching staff during practices, games, and league events. Parents/Guardians must volunteer for league events.

  • It takes a team off the field too! We’d love for parents to volunteer during home games to help everything run smoothly. Volunteers will not be scheduled during their child’s game. For each home game, we’ll have a sign-up sheet so parents can choose a time and role that works best for them.
