The Tempe Chamber is proud to spotlight the remarkable businesses that shape our community. The Business Excellence Awards celebrate organizations that contribute significantly to our state’s growth and success. From small businesses to large corporations, we honor those who lead the way in innovation, employee support, and community involvement. The awards will be presented in Tempe on Thursday, June 11, 2026.
Business sectors are defined as follows:
Small business: 1-50 employees
Large business: 51+ employees
Nonprofit organization*
Definition:
* A Nonprofit organization is one that holds a 501(c)3 status. Nonprofits may choose to apply in the nonprofit category, or the appropriate business size category.

TIME REQUIREMENTS
April 20, 2026: Nomination forms are due by 5 p.m.
April 30, 2026: Application packets due by 5 p.m.
Finalists will be announced in late May!
June 11, 2026: Tempe Chamber Business Excellence Awards Celebration at Culinary Dropout.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet one of the following:
Be a member in good standing with the Tempe Chamber of Commerce and Headquartered in Tempe
OR
Be a member in good standing with the Tempe Chamber of Commerce and have a significant presence in Tempe
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to meet time commitments (detailed above)
Must NOT be a government agency or municipality
Must not be a member-based association
Must NOT have been named a Business Excellence of the Year recipient in the past ten years
All nominees must purchase a minimum of two tickets to the event in June
If you are applying for multiple award categories, please submit a separate application for each. Please note that there is a limit of two category entries per organization/company.
The deadline to submit nominations is Monday, April 20, 2026.
