Handicaps & Averages
Averages will come from Paul Lobermans extensive tournament database.
We will use your “Challenge” Pattern average over 12 games. If the database doesn’t hold a “Challenge average” for you then using an Algorithm your “Recreational” average will be converted to reflect a “Challenge” average.
Handicaps will be 100% of the difference between you’re average and 200.
Format for the finals
There is no charge for bowling in the finals ! ! !
Each match will be played over 2 games with the winner being the bowler who has scored the highest 2 game score.
Bowlers will be ranked from their qualifying position
So, if you’re top qualifying you will play the lowest highest game qualifier (who is effectively ranked as the lowest player in the finals)
Double elimination – which means if you lose you a match you will fall into the losers bracket, and effectively have a 2nd chance in a 2nd match.
If you lose in the loser’s bracket you are out of the tournament.
In the final match – the top seed will be the bowler who has progressed through the rounds without losing a match, and therefore will need to be beaten twice by the other finalist.
In case of a tied matched, the player the progresses will be the player with the highest last game with handicap.
