Session 1-2026 Advanced CGC

AKC Community Canine: Advanced CGC (CGCA)
The AKC Community Canine program is all about ensuring you have a well-behaved dog while you’re out and about in the community. Where CGC happens in a simulated environment, the 10-step AKC Community Canine test is conducted in real life situations—like walking on a busy sidewalk or through a local park–giving you and your dog the confidence to enjoy everyday to the fullest, no matter what comes your way.

Instructors
The instructors rotate between sessions. They are all volunteer club members who have experience training and competing with their own dogs in a variety of AKC activities.
Class Requirements

Dogs attending this class must have a Canine Good Citizen test on record (CGC is a prerequisite for CGCA), they must be at least 6-months old and current on all vaccinations. Proof of vaccines must be emailed to ClarksvilleKennelClub@gmail.com prior to the first night of class.

Participants will need to bring 20-foot long line with them to all classes.

Class Location, Dates & Times

Classes are held at the Clarksville Kennel Club Training Building - 114 Kraft Street, Bldg. D, Clarksville, TN

This is a 4-week course meeting on Tuesday nights from 5:00-6:00pm starting on April 21, 2026.

The last night of class, May 12th, will include the Advanced CGC test. The test is included with the class.

If the class shows as "Sold Out" below, please submit your email address to be added to the waitlist and notified of the next class.

All classes provided by the Clarksville Kennel Club are NOT for aggressive dogs. A dog showing aggression, and/or that is uncontrollable, will be immediately excused for the remainder of the class session for the safety of others. No refund for remaining classes will be given.

Payment is due to complete your registration. Payment will be made using PayPal. 5% is added to cover fees.
