1. Validity of Quotations
All quotations issued by Pawson’s Transport are valid for a period of 24 hours from the time and date of issue, unless otherwise stated in writing. After this period, we reserve the right to amend or withdraw the quotation without notice.
2. Basis of Quotation
All quotations are provided based on the information supplied at the time, including but not limited to:
Collection and delivery locations
Load details (weight, dimensions, quantity)
Access restrictions
Required delivery times
Any changes to these details may result in a revised quotation.
3. Acceptance of Quotation
A quotation is only deemed accepted once:
Written confirmation is received (email, message, or signed agreement), and
Availability of vehicles and drivers is confirmed by Pawson’s Transport
We reserve the right to decline work even after a quotation has been issued.
4. Pricing and Charges
Quoted prices:
Are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated
May be subject to additional charges including (but not limited to):
- Waiting time
- Loading/unloading delays
- Additional stops
- Toll charges, congestion charges, or parking fees
- Out-of-hours or weekend work
Any additional costs incurred due to inaccurate or incomplete information will be chargeable.
5. Waiting Time
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
A standard grace period of 90 minutes is included
Thereafter, waiting time will be charged at the applicable hourly rate of £55ph
6. Cancellations
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled job time may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the quoted price
Pawson’s Transport reserves the right to charge for any costs already incurred
7. Delays and Force Majeure
While every effort is made to meet agreed schedules, Pawson’s Transport shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:
- Traffic conditions
- Weather
- Mechanical breakdown
- Road closures or accidents
8. Liability
Goods are carried subject to applicable UK transport regulations
Pawson’s Transport shall not be liable for:
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Loss of profits or business interruption
Liability for loss or damage to goods is limited unless otherwise agreed in writing
Customers are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance cover for high-value goods.
9. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Provide accurate and complete job details
- Ensure safe and suitable access for vehicles
- Ensure goods are properly packed and secured
Any issues arising from failure to meet these responsibilities may result in additional charges or refusal of service.
10. Amendments
Pawson’s Transport reserves the right to amend this quotation policy at any time without prior notice.
