Letter of Recommendation

Please upload one letter of recommendation from someone who knows you well and can speak to your character, potential, and why you would be a strong fit for a leadership program. This could be a teacher, school counselor, coach, extracurricular advisor, community mentor, or another trusted adult in your life.

Your recommender does not need to know everything about what GenderCool does — they simply need to know you. We are looking for letters that are honest, personal, and specific.

Please ask your recommender to address the following in their letter:
- How they know you and for how long
- A specific moment or quality that stands out to them about you
- Why they believe you are ready for a leadership experience
- Anything else they think would help us understand who you are
Letters should be addressed to the GenderCool Trans Youth Leadership Lab Selection Committee, signed, and submitted as a PDF or Word document. There is no required length, but most strong letters are 1-2 pages.

Note: Please give your recommender plenty of lead time before submitting your application. We suggest reaching out at least two weeks before the deadline.
