The Lafayette Regional Technology Council (LRTC) is leveling up our involvement in this year’s Innovate South event, and officially launching the 2026 Mini-Hackathon!
Designed for tech professionals by tech professionals, this is your chance to build, innovate, and showcase your skills to the region’s tech community.
How it Works:
- The Virtual Kickoff (100% Virtual & Flexible): The challenge themes and instructions will be released virtually on Friday, April 17. This isn't a "lock you in a room for 24 hours" event. You work on your own schedule from wherever you are most productive.
- The Build: Create a functional demo or project based on the provided themes. There is no set venue—this is a flexible, remote sprint.
- The Commitment: Spend as much or as little time as you want between the kickoff and the finale—the goal is simply to build something you’re proud to showcase.
- The Finale: Final presentations will take place in-person at Opportunity Machine in Downtown Lafayette on Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00 PM during Innovate South.
- The Stakes: Direct visibility. You’ll present your project to regional tech leaders, followed by a dedicated networking hour.
Requirements for Participation:
- Must be 18+ to participate.
- Must be available to present in-person on Wednesday, April 22.
- All project code must be authored within the hackathon window (April 17 – April 22).
