Hi, I am Emma Marcotte, Unionville High School student and Girl Scout.  I am pursuing my Girl Scout Gold Award focusing on bird awareness.  The Gold Award is the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve, and comparable to the Eagle Scout Award.  One of the goals in my Gold Award project is to help my town, Chadds Ford, become a Bird Town PA member. My project also includes offering bird programs with students, helping create bird friendly habitats such as native plant gardens, and providing general information about bird awareness. 

Bird Town Pennsylvania is the Pennsylvania Audobon Council’s signature program. The program works in partnership with local municipalities and organizations to promote community-based conservation actions to create a healthier, more sustainable environment for birds, wildlife, and people.
