🏀 Runcorn Rockets – Winter Season 2026

Expression of Interest (EOI)
Runcorn Rockets are now inviting Expressions of Interest for the 2026 Winter Season of Optus Juniors competition.

 

The Winter Season runs across Terms 2 and 3 (May – September) and is our main junior competition season. Teams will be formed following the EOI process.

We welcome new and returning players across all junior age groups.

Please review the key information below before submitting your Expression of Interest.

 

What is the process?

1. Submit an Expression of Interest

Players wishing to play for Rockets in the Winter 2026 Season should complete this EOI form.

📅 EOI Open: 23 March 2026
📅 EOI Close: 2 April 2026

• This helps the club understand player numbers and start planning teams, coaches and training sessions
• Venue and court availability is a key constraint for the club this season
• In previous seasons we have generally been able to accommodate all players, however this may not be possible this season
• We will aim to keep teams as consistent as possible from the Term 1 tournament season, however changes may be required due to team numbers and overall structure

This approach allows us to plan early and ensure the fairest possible outcome for players, families and our volunteers.

2. Player Offers Issued

Following the EOI period, the club will review EOIs and begin forming teams.

📅 Player Offers Issued: 6 April 2026

Players will receive an email with their player offer and registration instructions.

3. Accept Offer & Complete Registration

Players must accept their offer, complete registration and make payment. 

📅 Acceptance / Registration Cut-off: 10 April 2026

If an offer is not accepted by the deadline, the position may be offered to another player.

4. Team Confirmation

Once registrations are finalised, the club will confirm teams.

📅 Team Confirmation Emails: by 20 April 2026

These emails will include details such as:

• Team allocation
• Coach / Manager
• Training location and time
• Season information
• WhatsApp team group

Training

Training is expected to commence week beginning 27 April 2026.

Training venues vary depending on the team and may include local school halls or community courts.

Grading Weeks

To ensure fair and competitive games, the competition runs grading rounds at the start of the season.

📅 Grading Weeks:
1/2 May – 15/16 May 2026

These games determine the division teams teams will compete in.
