LIFE JACKETS ARE REQUIRED TO BE WORN WHILE ON THE WATER

CONSTRUCTION RULES

1. Boats must be made of biodegradable paper or cardboard. Paper or cardboard material may be waxed.

2. Up to one (1) board foot of lumber may be used per crew person in constructing the boat. The wood is to be used for framing, stiffening, or fastening cardboard.

3. Fasteners may be rope, string, staples, or tape.

4. Glue, paint, roofing cement, sealers, etc used in boat construction must be water based.

5. No epoxy, plastic, Flex-Seal or oil based paint may be used.

6. Boats will be available for inspection by the race judge 30 minutes prior to the race start time.

7. Boat crew members must wear life jackets at all times and be in/on the boat at the finish line.
