The Legacy + Flame Grill Off isn’t just a cooking competition. It’s a cultural handoff. This one-of-a-kind event pairs seasoned D9 grill masters with the next generation of talent, creating space for mentorship, tradition, and shared pride. Together, they fire up the grill, swap stories, and pass the tongs, literally and symbolically, from one flame holder to the next. It’s about more than food. It’s about legacy, community, and keeping the spirit of the yard alive through every sizzle and sear.
All participants will receive a food stipend and Kingsford Charcoal to fire up their grills. Please apply as one team (Grill Master and Grill Mate).
Suggested Qualifications:
To help guide your team setup:
- Grill Master (OG): Pledge year 2014 or earlier
- Grill Mate (New School): Pledge year 2015 or later
The Atlanta Greek Picnic team will select the final participants. The competition will take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, during Atlanta Greek Picnic. The application deadline is Friday May 20th, 2026. A member of the AGP team will contact selected teams with next steps.
