Enjoy delicious Filipino treats like silvanas and ube sweets, Indonesian and Malaysian Peranakan finger foods, comforting Chinese dishes and an array of Vietnamese snacks. Come along to try new flavours, hear the stories behind the dishes, and connect in a warm, festive atmosphere.
Stick around for an atmospheric evening performance at 7pm with Dr Nicholas Ng and students from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. A composer, performer and Associate Lecturer, Dr Ng is renowned for his innovative work with the erhu [a traditional Chinese bowed string instrument], exploring fresh ways to connect contemporary sound with ancient traditions. This special performance responds to the exhibition Dismantle / Assemble, weaving music with themes of intergenerational cultural memory, diasporic experience and migrant communities.
Join us for an inspiring, immersive event where sound and art come together to create new conversations and creative possibilities for students and audiences.
All food and drinks provided are free.
This event is part of the USU Food & Culture Fair.
