  • Information

This will be a great boating day for trailable boats, Snowdens Beach is approx 40 mins from the Adelaide CBD. If you don't have access to a boat and would like to travel with somebody else, let us know as soon as possible or just join us for lunch at Garden Island Boat Ramp.

  • Itinerary

The plan is to be at the Snowdens Beach Boat Ramp from 9.30am for launching and then all be under way at 10.30am heading towards Garden Island for Lunch.

We will cruise from the Snowdens Beach and head towards Outer Harbor passing the Naval Shipyard before turning and then head towards Garden Island Boat Ramp (A 10kms), here we will tie up for lunch at around 12.30pm.

After a nice relaxing lunch, we will then at approx. 2.30pm head back to Snowdens Beach arriving at approx 3.30pm. After retrieving all boats and a quick debrief of the day's activities, we could be heading home just after 4.00pm.

Electric BBQ and Toilets facilities available at Garden Island.

  • Boat Ramps and Mooring

Snowdens Beach boat ramp does have a floating pontoon to assist with launch and recovery of your boat, and there will be additional hands there to help you if required.

Plenty of car and trailer parking areas with toilets on site, no shop at this location, pickup all supplies before travelling to the boat ramp.

You are expected to have the appropriate insurance at the this WBASA event.

Be mindful of new life jacket / PDF requirements now enforced by Marine Safety.

A two way radio is very helpful at these events, the WBASA preferred is a UHF radio with channel 27 selected.

These Classic Boat Days are a great way to get your boat wet, enjoy the company of like minded boaties and chill out. Make sure you note the dates in your WBASA calendar and get along. They are also a great way to test your boat out, get some advice about anything you need and of course check out the other boats. Support to launch and retrieve your boat, getting a tow if needed (yes, boats do breakdown) and, best of all, the opportunity to get your boat’s photo in the WBASA calendar are all good reasons to join in!
