The A. James Clark School of Engineering of the University of Maryland at College Park, with financial support from The Patuxent Partnership and Rural Maryland Council, is hosting two summer camp programs at the University System of Maryland at Southern Maryland (USMSM).
Registration is open for two diferent camps:
The Engineer Your Career: Robotics STEM Summer Camp (June 22 - July 3, 2026, M-F 10am - 4pm) is open to high-school students who are interested in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields of study. It will provide a venue for students to learn mechanical design, electronics, and coding. It will teach engineering and math skills, as well as collaboration and teamwork, and will aim at developing these diverse skills to solve problems and encourage innovation.
The Invent The Future: Applied Artificial Intelligence Summer Camp (July 6 – August 6, 2026, M-T 10am - 4pm) is for high-school students with demonstrated background in coding and a strong interest in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in machine learning, computer vision, image generation/recognition, and robotics.
Please note: The camps are open to students who attend high schools in the Tri-County only (Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's counties).
