As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, A More Perfect Union invites artists to reflect on what America has been, what it is, and what it might yet become. Rather than seeking a single narrative, this exhibition aims to embrace complexity, holding space for pride and progress alongside tension and contradiction.
Presented in response to America250, this exhibition centers voices from the Columbus area. We welcome work grounded in personal experience, local history, inherited stories, and imagined futures. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of patriotism, democracy, labor, identity, belonging, freedom, history, and community through the lens of place and lived reality.
Selected works will come together to form a collective portrait that is inquisitive and forward-looking. This is an invitation to contribute to a broader conversation—one that reflects where we are now and helps shape what comes next.
