  • 1. Entrant Regulations

Acceptance of entries will be at the sole discretion of the Organisers.

Entry fees will only be refunded if the event is cancelled by the Organisers.

    2. Arrival Procedure

You will receive joining instructions by email a few weeks before the event. On arrival, you will be directed by a Gate Steward to collect an envelope containing your run number, entrant and passenger wristbands, signing-on slip and complimentary programme.

Vehicles will be displayed in year order and your allotted Paddock space will be provided on arrival. Please park on your alloted space as directed by the Paddock Stewards. If you have a trailer and support vehicle, please park them on the grass directly behind your alloted paddock space. There will also be a designated area for overflow trailer parking in the main car park away from the entrance gate.

The run number must be displayed on the front of the vehicle. One passenger admission is included with each entry fee. Entrants must register with and pay the Gate Stewards if they have additional passengers for whom they have not already paid admission. Shenstone & District Car Club members plus one guest are allowed free spectator entrance, upon presentation of a numbered membership card or guest ticket. Carers attending disabled visitors are also entitled to free admittance.

    3. Demonstration Runs

The Drivers' and Riders' Briefing is obligatory and will be given by the Clerk of the Course at 8.45am. Runs will only be permitted if the run number is clearly displayed and your wristband visible (blue for Riders and Drivers, green for passengers). You should sign and present your signing-on slip to the Start Line Marshals upon your first run.

We aim to give each Entrant a minimum of three runs unless unforeseen circumstances do not permit this. This is a non-competitive event; all runs are demonstration only and will not be timed and, as such, there is no requirement to wear a race suit or helmet but you may prefer to do so.

Entrants with two seats or more, unless you have specifically opted out when entering online, we will assume that you are happy to take passengers (limited to sponsors or volunteers).

The Figure-of-Eight course will be used. Once over the finish line, Drivers and Riders must slow down as quickly as possible and proceed along the return route back to the Paddock. Double drives should park on the side of the return route and wait to be directed by Paddock Marshals for their second run.

While on track all Drivers and Riders are under the control of the Track Marshals. Drivers must not start until given a signal by the Track Marshal at the start line. Only one vehicle will be permitted on the track at any time. Drivers and Riders must drive in a responsible manner. Track Marshals are instructed to flag down Drivers who, in their opinion, are travelling at an excessive speed or driving dangerously and those doing so will be prevented from completing further runs. If a Track Marshal shows a red flag then the Driver must slow immediately, return to the Paddock and report to the Paddock Office. If a red flag is waved, the Driver must stop as quickly as possible and not re-start until given permission by a Marshal.

All Drivers and Riders must hold a valid driving licence and insurance. Entrants must ensure that their vehicles are properly maintained in a road-worthy condition and that they have fully comprehensive insurance for their vehicle and driver(s) or rider(s). In the event of an accident the Organisers will accept no claims.

Please ensure that you have sufficient fuel for the day and that ALL loose items are removed from the vehicle before entering the track.

    4. The Paddock

Access from 5.00pm on Sunday and overnight camping is permitted. On Sunday evening there will be a paying bar and barbecues available to cook food you bring. On Monday the Paddock will be open from 8.00am to 6.00pm. Vehicles are left in the Paddock at the owner’s risk, but Paddock Stewards will be present throughout the day.

Everywhere on site except the track has a speed limit of 10mph.

Paddock Stewards and Track Marshals will control the movement of vehicles in and out of the Paddock and from the Paddock to the start of the Track.

Spectators are allowed into the Paddock and vehicles must be left in a safe condition.

Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a short lead and with owners fully responsible for any cleaning up required.

Please place any rubbish in the dustbins provided or take it home with you.

    5. Insurance and Authorisation

Several insurance companies have amended their cover to exclude closed events such as this, even though it is non-competitive. It is your responsibility therefore to ensure that your insurance covers you, your car and all passengers for the event. The Organisers cannot accept responsibility to owners, passengers or their vehicles on site during the event.
