2026 Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Bursary Application

Supporting Students in Pursuit of Higher Education

Annually, the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby Committee will grant up to two bursaries, each valued at up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), to deserving applicants based on criteria such as relevance, financial need, and the availability of funds from the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby. The aim of this bursary is to offer financial assistance to deserving students pursuing further education, particularly in fields that may be relevant or beneficial to the Lac du Bonnet region.
CORE CRITERIA:

Financial assistance is available for students pursuing post-secondary studies, with priority given to fields of study that address the needs of Lac du Bonnet. Additionally, applicants should exhibit academic proficiency indicating readiness for success in their chosen field of study.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION:

This application form is used to determine your eligibility and financial need for post-secondary education. Please take your time to answer the questions and ensure that you: 1. Complete the questions & select Submit 2. Provide all information requested on the application. 3. Answer in clear, concise language and take note of spelling, grammar, and formatting. 4. Include two references, along with a letter of reference from each. 5. Include your high school transcript OR a transcript from your previous year of post-secondary education. 6. Include a copy of the acceptance papers from the post-secondary institute you will be attending. 7. Include a digital file of your graduation picture. BURSARY PAYMENT PROCESS:

Bursaries will be awarded in person or by mail, aligning with current health and safety protocols at the time of distribution. Bursary award funds will be paid when proof of actual registration is received by the Lac du Bonnet Ice Fishing Derby.
