  • Liability Waiver & Acknowledgement of Risk

    I acknowledge that participation in the Walk for Destiny is voluntary and involves inherent risks associated with prolonged physical activity, including but not limited to fatigue, dehydration, trips, falls, injury, illness, weather exposure, vehicle and pedestrian traffic hazards, and other unforeseen risks arising from walking in public areas during both day and night. I understand that participants are responsible for assessing their own physical fitness and ability to safely participate in all or part of the event. I agree to immediately notify event organisers if I become unwell, injured, or unable to continue safely. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I acknowledge and agree that C3 Church Hepburn Heights (“C3HH”), its pastors, leaders, employees, volunteers, organisers, and representatives: are not providing professional medical or fitness advice; are not responsible for supervising participants’ personal health conditions or medical needs; are not liable for any personal injury, illness, death, loss, damage, expense, or claim arising from or connected with my participation in the event, except where liability cannot legally be excluded under Australian law. I understand that portions of the event take place on public roads, footpaths, shared pathways, parks, and other public locations not owned or controlled by C3HH. I agree to comply with all road rules, safety directions, and lawful instructions provided by event organisers or emergency personnel. I accept full responsibility for: my own conduct, safety, and wellbeing during the event; any personal belongings or equipment I bring; obtaining my own medical, ambulance, and personal insurance coverage if desired.

    I acknowledge and agree that:

    • I am responsible for the supervision, safety, transport, and wellbeing of the participant at all times during the event;
    • participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless otherwise expressly approved in writing by event organisers;
    • I have read and understood the Acknowledgement of Risk and Liability Waiver sections of this form and accept these terms on behalf of the participant to the extent permitted by law.

  • Medical Consent

    In the event of illness or injury, I authorise event volunteers to: Administer basic first aid; Contact emergency services if required; Arrange medical treatment if I am unable to respond. I accept responsibility for any medical costs incurred.

  • Behaviour & Community Expectation

    I agree to: Respect volunteers and fellow participants, understanding this is a C3 Church Hepburn Heights event; Contribute to a positive, encouraging environment; Follow all safety instructions during the event.
