A non-carceral, peer-led space for people who live at the intersection of a LGBTQ2S+ identity and a POC identity to navigate their unique lived experiences. It can difficult to carry the weight of multiple marginalized identities. This space is for us to show up as we are; you don't have to explain yourself. We come together to share joy, belonging, and find meaning in the resistance.
Facilitator: Quinn (he/she/they) is a transgender graduate student living in the occupied nation of Hawaiʻi. He has a background in psychology, education, counseling, and queer studies. Their research and practice are centered on creating safe spaces for those with intersecting, marginalized identities to express themselves authentically--free from the restraints of capitalism, colonialism, and cisheteropatriarchy. Quinn brings his lived experience as a transgender, mixed-race, disabled individual into his work, and affirms that centering autonomy is crucial for creating a liberatory, queer centered future.
