DSDN Podcast Submissions
  • DSDN Podcast Submissions

We’re working on something new and really special and we don’t want you to miss the chance to be part of it 💙💛

DSDN is launching a podcast series that will share real, lived experiences from our community. Each episode will center around a question and bring together voices from across DSDN.

Your voice and your story matter. This is a chance to be part of something that will support and connect other families in a meaningful way.

We are so grateful for every submission. While we may not be able to include every recording in the final episodes, each story shared helps shape this project and reflects the strength of this community.

We can’t wait to hear your voice. Thank you for being part of this 💙💛

  • We are currently accepting submissions second episode.

Episode 2: Moving forward after a birth diagnosis
Question: What helped you most as you processed the unexpected news and began to move forward?

  • Important Info for Your Recording!

    • Find a quiet space with little to no background noise. We may not be able to use recordings with background noise. For the best sound, consider using earbuds or headphones with a built-in microphone, such as AirPods.
    • Record a short voice recording on your phone
      • iPhone: use the Voice Memos app
      • Android: use the Voice Recorder or Recorder app
    • Keep your response around 45 to 75 seconds
    • Speak at a natural, comfortable pace
    • Please do not record while driving

    To get started, please say:
“Hi, I’m [your name], mom or dad to [child’s name], who is [age].”

    What to share:
We encourage you to share a specific moment, story, or experience that felt meaningful to you.

    You might share:

    • A moment that stands out to you
    • Something someone said to you
    • An experience that helped shift your perspective

    Example to guide you:
“Hi, I’m Sarah, mom to Jack who is 3. I remember sitting in the hospital room feeling completely overwhelmed after we received the diagnosis. A nurse connected me with another mom, and talking to her was the first time I felt like everything might actually be okay. That connection made such a difference for me in those early days.”

Editing: DSDN may lightly edit recordings for clarity, length, or flow within the podcast.
