    Kathy – Landlady

    Warm, no‑nonsense, comedic, emotionally layered. Kathy the pub’s “jovial but no‑nonsense landlady,” central to audience interaction and later dramatic revelations.

    Age Range: 40 to 60


    Description:

    The charismatic landlady hosting the quiz as the world ends.
    Juggles humour with deeper emotional tensions.
    Has unresolved family history with her estranged brother Bobby.
    Requires a strong comic performer with the ability to shift into pathos.


    Rav – Quizmaster

    Described as “the host with the most” and a performer who “revels in the role… suavely posing question after question.

    Age Range: 20s– 40s


    Description:

    The energetic host of the end‑of‑the‑world quiz.
    Charismatic, sometimes irritating, thrives in the spotlight.
    Holds emotional vulnerabilities revealed later (e.g., doubts about identity or past relationships).
    Must handle fast-paced delivery and audience interaction.

    Bobby - Kathy’s Estranged brother

    Intense, simmering emotional depth. Bobby appears as a major catalyst for tension, with scenes exploring family history and emotional wounds

    Age Range: 30s–50s


    Description:

    Arrives unexpectedly to “settle old scores.”
    Carries significant emotional weight; scenes with Kathy are charged and reflective.
    Requires an actor capable of handling tension, regret, and conflict.
     

    Fran

    Awkward, vulnerable, hopeful. Fran is depicted as “nervy, immature” with strong emotional scenes involving confession and regret.
