Day 1 - 3P Testing
Dear Parents and Athletes,

We are excited to invite your athlete to Day 1 of the California State Team (CST) tryouts, where players will undergo comprehensive testing and evaluations to determine their team placement. The tryout process begins with the 3P Testing, a standardized assessment that consists of eight drills designed to measure key water polo skills such as speed, agility, endurance, ball control, and shooting accuracy. These drills will provide each player with a rating that will be used for team selection. After completing the testing phase, players will have a one-hour rest period while coaches analyze the results and rank athletes based on their performance. This data-driven approach ensures that each player is placed in a competitive and developmentally appropriate team.

American Water Polo Events

American Water Polo is pleased to provide support and insurance coverage for the competitions including the California Super League, Hardcore Cup, Yellow Ball Classic, CST selections, and the California State Challenge. All AWP members will be covered with a liability insurance policy and a secondary accident policy. However, to be eligible, athletes and coaches must be members of the organization. Non-members will not qualify for any coverage. To join the organization, click here.American Water Polo allows non members to participate in their events but they will not receive their liability and secondary accident policy. California Water Polo Association mandates that all CST members are required to get AWP membership in order to avoid any potential litigation with non insured members. I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THE ABOVE LIABILITY RELEASE AND SIGN IT WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE OF ITS CONTENTS AND SIGNIFICANCE.
