The Cain Center for the Arts is excited to announce new opportunities and resources for artists of all kinds!
Cain Center for the Arts is a community arts center located in downtown Cornelius, NC, 20 minutes away from downtown Charlotte.
With a commitment to artists, communities, and the arts—Cain Center has become a place where private businesses, non-profit organizations and government corporations come to source artists. On average, Cain Center receives at least 2-4 commission opportunities per month to offer to artists that we are connected to.
To honor this avenue of bringing arts to the community, Cain Center for the Arts has created a new directory called the “Cain Center Artist Circle”. It is a directory which allows artists to submit professional information to be considered or invited to opportunities of commission work.
Artists must submit the following:
-images of artwork
-professional websites
-social media handles
-artist resume/CV
-previous work affiliations
This opportunity allows surrounding businesses and organizations, who are connected to the Cain Center for the Arts an opportunity to connect with artists who may fit the criteria of their project. Our goal is to be the connecting place between Art, artists, and the community—in more ways than one.
The VisArts staff will help manage communications and connections while providing recommendations to businesses and entities in pursuit of an artist.
To manage the directory effectively, and efficiently, the Cain Center will allow artists the opportunity to register twice per fiscal year and update the website per registration period.
Artists may be contacted with questions regarding their artisty, portfolio, or interests of projects.
Cain Center realizes that one of the hardest elements for artists can be providing opportunities for their work to be seen.
We want to help in that.
The Summer 2026 Cain Center Artist Circle application will be open from Monday May 11th through Friday May 29th, 2026.
