• Thank You for Your Enquiry

  • How can we help? Let’s get started

  • Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Mobility Dogs.
This is a simple starting point to help us understand a little about you, whether a Mobility Dog could be the right fit now or in the future, and how we may be able to support you.
Please share as much information as you can, or what you feel comfortable with..

  • Before you complete this form, please read our FAQs as they may give you some helpful information:

  • Do you have any hearing or vision impairment?*
  • Thank you for your interest in Mobility Dogs.

Our dogs are not trained to assist with hearing and/or vision impairment. Our program is designed to support people with physical disabilities through mobility-related assistance tasks.

Mobility Dogs are specially trained to work in a 1:1 partnership with a person who can independently direct and manage their dog in a range of environments. This includes being able to visually manage and guide the dog, and provide clear, consistent verbal and/or physical direction.

Because of this, significant hearing and/or vision impairment falls outside the scope of how our dogs are trained and placed.

For support relating to vision loss, we recommend contacting Blind Low Vision NZ. For support relating to hearing loss, we recommend contacting Hearing Dogs NZ, who may be better placed to advise on supports for people who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

We appreciate you taking the time to enquire and wish you all the best in finding the support that best meets your needs.

    Ngā mihi,
    The Mobility Dogs Team 🐾

  • Are you over 18 years old?*
  • Thank you for your interest in Mobility Dogs.

At this time, we work with individuals aged 18 years and over. This is due to the 1:1 partnership required and the level of responsibility involved in caring for and working with a Mobility Dog. If you are supporting someone under 18, you may like to explore Assistance Dogs New Zealand Trust, who offer programmes for younger individuals (please note their waitlist may not always be open). We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and wish you all the best in finding the right support.

    Ngā mihi,
    The Mobility Dogs Team 🐾
