  • 📄 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR AGREEMENT

    1. PARTIES

    This Independent Contractor Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between:

    I Like To Move It Movers LLC (“Company”)

    and

    Contractor 

    2. CONTRACTOR STATUS

    Contractor is an independent contractor, not an employee.

    Contractor understands:

    No taxes are withheld by Company
    Contractor is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes
    Contractor is not eligible for employee benefits

    3. SERVICES

    Contractor agrees to perform moving-related services including but not limited to: Loading/unloading trucks
    Packing/unpacking
    Furniture handling and assembly
    Job site labor as assigned

    4. SCHEDULING & DISPATCH

    Jobs are offered via call, text, or group chat
    Contractor may accept or decline jobs
    Once accepted, Contractor MUST show up ON TIME and complete the job

    5. PAY

    Pay is per job or hourly as communicated before each job
    Payment is issued after job completion (same day or scheduled payout)
    Contractor is responsible for tracking their own earnings

    6. RELIABILITY (STRICT POLICY)

    Contractor agrees to:

    Show up on time
    Communicate delays immediately
    Perform work professionally

    🚨 Failure to show up (“NO CALL / NO SHOW”)

    Immediate removal from job opportunities

    Contractor may accept or decline jobs
    Once accepted, Contractor MUST show up ON TIME and complete the job

     Failure to do so may result in:

    Immediate removal from job opportunities
    Permanent termination from Company network

    7. CONDUCT

    Contractor must:

    Treat customers and team members with respect
    Maintain professionalism at all times
    Follow instructions from job lead

    🚫 Prohibited:

    Arguing with customers
    Being under the influence of drugs/alcohol
    Damaging customer property due to negligence

     8. DAMAGE & LIABILITY

     Contractor agrees:

    To handle all items with care
    To follow safe lifting practices

    Contractor may be held financially responsible for damages caused by:

    Negligence
    Reckless behavior
    Failure to follow instructions

    9. EQUIPMENT & TRANSPORTATION

    Contractor is responsible for

    Their own transportation to job sites
    Basic work readiness (appropriate clothing, gloves, etc.)

    10. NON-SOLICITATION (VERY IMPORTANT)

    Contractor agrees NOT to:

    Accept side jobs directly from Company customers
    Bypass Company to work privately with clients
    Share customer contact info for personal gain

    🚨 This applies during work AND for 12 months after last job

    Violation may result in legal action

    11. CONFIDENTIALITY

    Contractor agrees to keep confidential:

    Customer information
    Pricing
    Business operations

    12. INSURANCE & RISK

    Contractor understands:
    They are not covered by Company workers compensation (unless required by law)
    They assume risk associated with physical labor

    13. TAX RESPONSIBILITY

    Contractor acknowledges:

    They are responsible for all taxes
    They may receive a 1099-NEC if applicable

    14. TERMINATION

    This Agreement may be terminated at any time by either party

    Company may remove Contractor at its sole discretion

    15. GOVERNING LAW 

    This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York 

    16. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

    This document represents the full agreement between both parties
